A classic, rebuilt
OpenJazz targets the original Jazz Jackrabbit, not Jazz Jackrabbit 2. Levels, graphics, and sound remain separate from its open engine. Different original releases contain different episodes, so a shareware installation should not be described as the full registered game. Follow the project’s file-layout instructions for your edition. A browser port needs more than a title-screen test: level transitions, movement timing, audio, and retained progress must also be checked.
What you need
Original game data required
This is a discovery entry. We do not currently provide a supported browser build. Follow the upstream project for its installation instructions and supported platforms.
Controls & input
- See the upstream project’s control documentation.
Saving your progress
Follow the upstream project’s save instructions. There is no hosted player for this entry.
Known limitations
- Directory entry; browser gameplay has not been verified here.
Source & assets
The engine and game data have separate licenses. A source release does not automatically make the original artwork, music, or levels freely redistributable.
